Add AKS Clusters

Applicable to Classic mode only

Prerequisites

Before adding AKS clusters, ensure that:

• Cluster prerequisites are met

• Stork is installed

• You have an:

  • Azure Storage account

  • Azure cloud account

  • Azure backup location in Portworx Backup

Add an Azure cluster to Portworx Backup

To add an Azure cluster from the Portworx Backup web console:

1. In the home page, go to the left navigation pane and click Clusters.

2. In the upper-right corner, click Connect cluster:

   

3. On the Add Cluster page, under Select Kubernetes Platform, click Azure icon and then enter the following cluster details:

   

   • Cluster name: enter a name for your cluster

   • Kubeconfig: retrieve the Kubeconfig from your cluster and paste it here or click Browse to upload it from a file.

   If you have an AKS cluster with Azure AD enabled, see kubelogin configuration to generate the kubeconfig.

4. Choose the Azure cloud account you added earlier from the drop-down list.

5. When you're done, select the Add cluster button.

Portworx Backup adds your Azure cluster. To view the added cluster in the web console, go to the left navigation pane and click Clusters icon.
