Install from IBM Cloud

You can install Portworx Backup from the IBM Cloud.

Create CSI-native backups

To take CSI-native backups on an IKS cluster with IBM Cloud Block Storage VPC CSI Driver versions below 5.0.0, follow these steps:

1. In the kdmp-config configmap, add CSI_DRIVER_WITHOUT_SNAPSHOT key and update its value to vpc.block.csi.ibm.io in the application cluster. For more information, see the Configure kdmp-config ConfigMap parameters.

2. In the Portworx Backup web console, navigate to Create Backup window, provide the required values, and ensure that you do not select any value for CSI snapshot class field.

3. Click Create to trigger a CSI-native backup without local snapshot.
