Using Configuration Manager
The Config Manager (also known as Configuration Manager) in PDS provides a centralized interface for setting up and maintaining key infrastructure components that data services depend on. Within this single console, you can configure DNS, image registry, and proxy settings to ensure consistent and streamlined operations across all your clusters, deployments, and backups. By standardizing these configurations in one place, PDS enables easier management of organization-wide defaults, reduces repetitive setup steps, and helps maintain a secure, uniform environment for all data services.
Only users with the Account Admin or Organization Admin role in the PDS platform can access the Config Manager.
Lock Configurations
This feature is supported for DNS, Image registry, and Proxy configurations. When enabled, this toggle prevents the creation, editing, or deletion of DNS, Image registry and Proxy configurations. It helps maintain stability for all these configurations by ensuring settings are not accidentally changed or removed once they are in use.
- Account admin can lock DNS, Image registry, and Proxy configurations.
- Account and Organization admin has the permission to create, edit, and delete DNS, Image registry, and Proxy configurations.
For more information about the roles and permissions, see the RBAC section.
The following sections will walk you through the process of creating and managing the DNS, image registry, and proxy configurations:
