Add an AWS/S3 Cloud Account in Portworx Backup

You can add the AWS/S3 cloud account in Portworx Backup.

An AWS account is the starting point to gain access to AWS services and resources. You can associate your existing AWS account credentials in Portworx Backup to authenticate your AWS cluster to take backups and perform restores

To add an AWS/S3 cloud account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Portworx Backup UI.

  2. From the left navigation pane, click the Cloud Settings icon and select the Cloud Accounts tab.

  3. Click Add Cloud Account.

  4. On the Add Cloud Account page, specify the following information:

    • Please choose a cloud provider: Select AWS/S3 Compliant Object Store.
    • Cloud Account Name: Enter a descriptive cloud account name.
    • Access Key: Add your S3 access key ID.
    • Secret Key: Add your S3 secret access key.
  5. Click Add.

    The AWS/S3 cloud account is added in Portworks Backup.
