Backup Location Support Matrix
Portworx Backup supports a range of S3-compliant object stores, other cloud object stores, and NFS backup locations. The following table summarizes the qualified object store-based (S3-compliant and others) and NFS backup locations you can add from the Portworx Backup web console.

NFS backup locations are supported in Classic mode only. In Federated mode, only object store backup locations are supported (Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3, and Google Cloud Storage). For more information, see Configure Backup Locations in Federated Mode.
The Object lock support column uses the following symbols:
- Yes — Object lock (immutability) is supported and qualified for this backup location.
- - — Object lock is not supported or not qualified for this backup location.
- NA — Not applicable. Object lock is an object-store capability and does not apply to NFS backup locations.
