Migrate from Portworx Essentials With FlashArray/FlashBlade License to PX-CSI

Portworx Essentials is discontinued as of version 3.2.2.1. Clusters with PX-Essentials using a FlashArray/FlashBlade license cannot be upgraded to newer versions. You can either Migrate to PX-CSI version or Migrate to Portworx Enterprise.

Migrate to PX-CSI​

You can migrate PX-Essentials with a FlashArray/FlashBlade license seamlessly to PX-CSI version 25.8.0 or later by following the steps in Upgrade Portworx CSI.

important

When upgrading the StorageCluster:

  • Update the portworx.io/misc-args annotation value to "--oem px-csi".
  • Update the spec.image value to portworx/px-pure-csi-driver:<desired-version>.
