Create a backup policy

A backup policy defines how and when PDS will take a backup, as well as how many backups PDS will retain on the backup target.

note

You cannot perform ad-hoc backups. Backup operations occur only when scheduled.

Prerequisites

• PDS account Admin privileges

Procedure

1. Select Settings → Backups → Policies tab.

2. In the Backup Policies page, select the Add button.

3. In the Add Backup Policy window:

   • Name your backup policy

   • A Cron expression

   • The number of backups you wish to retain

4. Select Add.
