Labels in Portworx Backup

Portworx Backup enables you to retrieve the backups, namespaces, and resources with the preset labels. Kubernetes allows you to apply the labels for namespaces and resources with a key-value pair using the CLI and Portworx Backup UI allows you to filter them when needed at a later point in time to create a backup. You can leverage the UI to apply labels to backups and search them later.

Besides, the labeling feature allows you to automatically back up any new namespace(s) or resource(s) with a preset label, as the scheduler actively picks up new namespaces and/or resources with specific labels in each cycle of scheduled backups.
