Provision storage for KubeVirt VMs with Portworx Fusion
Portworx Fusion Controller provides Fusion-backed persistent storage for KubeVirt virtual machines (VMs). When you create or update a VM that references a Fusion-backed StorageClass or PersistentVolumeClaim (PVC), the Fusion Controller provisions volumes on the appropriate FlashArray and tracks them through a FusionWorkload custom resource (CR).
After you enable Portworx Fusion Controller and create a Fusion preset, you can provision storage for KubeVirt VMs in the following ways:
- Create a VM whose disks are provisioned from a DataVolumeTemplate that references a Fusion-backed
StorageClass. For more information, see Create a KubeVirt VM using a Fusion Preset. - Create a VM that references an existing PVC as a disk. For more information, see Create a KubeVirt VM using a pre-created PVC.
- Hot attach and hot detach disks on a running VM without a restart. For more information, see Hot plug disks for a KubeVirt VM.
